As a child, author Ronda Snow listened late into the night to the stories Ookomisan, her grandmother, told her, while moonlight lit the room and the plaintive call of an owl often sounded outside her bedroom window.

Her stories come from the ancestors who experienced a beautiful, wild and enchanting world surrounded by ancient forests, where little people still exist, and the trees still hold secrets that only those who listen can hear.
