Authored by Pebaamibines/Dennis Jones,  Daga Anishinaabemodaa presents basic lessons for learning Anishinaabemowin, the language of the Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) people. Fully illustrated with instructive and delightful images by Aza Erdrich, this text engages the beginning Anishinaabe language learner on a visual as well as an intellectual level. Grammar charts, tips for study, notes on testing, a section on community language tables, and many other helpful tools for language learning are included.

About the Author
Pebaamibines/Dennis Jones is an Ojibwe language instructor at the University of Minnesota. He is a band member of Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation, located in the Treaty Three territory in northwestern Ontario
 
About the Illustrator
Aza Erdrich is Turtle Mountain Ojibwe and Modoc and grew up in Minneapolis. She studied studio art and Native American studies at Dartmouth College. These are her first published illustrations.

AZA___your illustration is quite the eYE Catcher!
It dazzels my Artisians' eye, as I realized on enlarging the image that it has all of the Direct-ional Colours in it, and though the young women is laughing-she seems to be a archetype of "All Nations" of Human Beings! Tre'beautiful___
