I cannot wait to read this new book. I have never been disappointed in one of her books. She continues to be one of my favorite writers. A must read !

I am happily anticipating the day you are awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. Just as I knew when I read Beloved and Song of Solomon that Toni Morrison would win the prize, reading and re-reading your entire body of work from Beet Queen to Roundhouse leaves me even more convinced that you will be honored with this award. Thank you for sharing your exquisite literary genius in all its joy, sorrow and humor.

I couldn't agree more with the above posters. Erdrich is easily my favorite writer of all time, ever. I can't wait to receive my copy. It will be like a opening the biggest gift under the tree on christmas morning!

Another awesome work! An excellent addition to your body of work(and I have every work of adult fiction and poetry!). The stories are almost timeless and I, too, enjoy re-reading everyone, though Love Medicine is the most beloved.

The first time my bookgroup read Louise was in early 1988 (Love Medicine) - our 3rd year of reading together . Today we are reading The Plague of Doves (for some not a first read), tomorrow will be The Round House. Erdrich is one of our favorite authors who we continue to return to over and over. We talk of taking a pilgrimage to visit Birchbark Books & perhaps meeting Louise. Congratulations on this latest award, next the Nobel for literature!

Thank you for all your beautiful books and congratulations on your many awards, especially the most recent one. My daughter, an English honors student at George Mason University (who I modestly wish to boast about, as she is modest but a perfectionist, and she has won several awards and scholarships herself) is finishing a paper for a graduate class that argues your work deserves scholarly editions, especially The Antelope Wife. As with all of her work, Ms. Erdrich has crafted an exquisite book, that should sit with the classics. With a timeless feel and a coming of age hero who touches our hearts and remains present after the final page, Joe joins Scout as a literary legend. Loved this book. I am amazed, again, at the gifts Ms Erdrich brings.
